The Little Ride & Lunch - Part III

Continued from here

We are too much occupied with the food paradise when Arijit mentions "I am going to have an omelette later"
I say, "Surely", in between bites.

Truly there have been some excellent moments that we spent in our school days which is why we miss them so dearly. As our heads start to clear and we realise its time to go back we order for the bill.
And with the word bills comes back another incident.I am sure it was made up by Avishek, Samrat and Arijit that if I had sponsored a chocolate worth 50 paise, I would have told them for the next 50 days that I had sponsored such a chocolate. I was unfortunately made a bakra like this one.

So when I tell Arijit "Hey I am going to pay it"
Arijit says "No way. A bill of Rs 2000 and I am going to hear for it for the rest of my life"

We pay the bill and rise up.I finish up the remaining drink in one go and we are raring to go now. Meanwhile the rains have stopped and the sky has started to clear.

As I reach the motorcycle I see that the seats have become wet, so mop that up with a cloth. And then when I hold the handle, I feel traces of the brake oil have become smeared on the handle surface, so I mop that too.

We reach a small cigarette shop.
Arijit says "Paan and cigarette" and I am not allowed to sponsor this either.
Its good for me I say!
We enjoy the smoke and the paan, crank up the motorcycle amidst the clearing skies, increasing traffic, rising temperatures of the city, drop Arijit at his place and then ride back home.

While dropping him, I remind Arijit that he has forgotten to have his Omelette.
"May be some other time", he says.
We say good bye and leave.
